“Crossing the border – RANDOM IN ANALOG AND DIGITAL MEDIA”
marcelinawellmer.com
Operating at the edge of video, installation and painting. Her works are dealing with the relation of humans and technology and with the interference of information and media, crossing the border from analog to digital and vice versa. Pieces are controlled and displayed through self written software that works with random seeds. Part of my creation is to play with the edges of media, to amplify their very own characteristics.
Generative factor in a visual message, connected with electronic devices, used in a set of variable objects.Hybrid of media and cultural & philospohical garbology. Reverse engineering.

Marcel Schwittlick
“Current Status”
www.mrzl.net
Marcel Schwittlick is a German generative artist living and working in Berlin. With his work he’s examining different notions of reality especially those who result of recent tendencies of digital culture. His work has a philosophical foundation that often evolved into tangible images, videos or installations.
He’s working with digital technology as his main tool. As most of his work is necessary to be realized in the context of generative, real-time software systems, he’s usually creating computer programs which are instructed to carry out his thoughts and ideas.
