What happens when code meets art? And when art meets code?

Creative coding is a type of programming in which the goal is to create something expressive and critical instead of something purely functional. It is used to create live visuals, netart, installation, sound, wearables – anything our creativity can produce with algorithms.

In this special event we aim to expand our understanding of technology, code and art, and inspire women and underrepresented people to use code in a creative way.

We will finish the full day event with a collective live performance where everyone will be invited to use their own laptop as an instrument to create image and sound in real time.

The works produced in this day will be exhibited for a month at the Zentrum für Netzkunst at Haus der Statistik – http://netart.berlin
